Michelle comes to Behavior Modification Solutions as an all ready a versatile superstar in the field of Behavior Analysis. Michelle began her career as a Consumer Support/Behavioral Coordinator and was fortunate to be promoted to the Day Program Director for developmentally disabled adults. She simultaneously worked on her BCaBA certification from Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz, Ph.D., BCBA’s certification program, which she received in 2003. This inspiring experience led her to dedicate her career path to serving children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities and to help them to lead a fulfilled and healthy life. Michelle earned her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology in 2006. She has worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families as a Behavior Analyst Consultant in the communities of Hillsborough, Hernando, and Pasco counties for over 16 years. She Michelle enjoys living in Tampa with her husband, her two boys, and her dog Luna. She has a very active lifestyle and loves supporting her boys in sports’ activities, travel, and everyday adventures.

Heather Laffey, BCaBA has been working with children in varying capacities for most of her life. She developed a passion for working with individuals with special needs while working as a preschool teacher at an inclusive early childhood center.
After completing her undergraduate degree in psychology, she began her career in Applied Behavior Analysis as a behavioral therapist working with young adults in a residential school setting.
For the last year she has been working as an RBT at a clinic with young children, applying the principles of ABA to help them learn and grow, while simultaneously continuing her own education. She obtained her M.Ed in Applied Behavior Analysis through Endicott University and completed her BCaBA certification this past year. She is looking forward to becoming a BCBA in May when she takes the exam.

Ofelia Gavino graduated from the University of South Florida in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
She has been working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders of all ages since 2010 as a speech therapist, with a focus on improving quality of life by increasing functional communication, pro-social behaviors, and parent training.
Ofelia is currently attending the University of Cincinnati obtaining a Masters of Arts of Special Education with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis and will complete her degree December 2020.
She looks forward to becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and assisting families in both the English and Spanish speaking communities.
