I am deeply committed to supporting families who face challenges related to the autism spectrum. I graduated in 2010 from the Polytechnic University of Engineers in Cuba with a master's degree in chemical engineering. However, my life took a significant turn when my son, who is on the autism spectrum, was born.
In my desire to provide him with the best possible support, I immersed myself in the world of autism and, in 2017, specialized as a special education teacher for home instruction. Recently, in September 2023, I earned a Master's degree in ABA Intervention (Applied Behavior Analysis) in Autism and Other Neurodevelopmental Disorders from the International University of Cádiz, Spain (UCA). In the coming months, I plan to sit for the BCBA certification exam from the BACB.
I have worked extensively with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities, and I have the additional experience of working directly with my non-verbal son on the spectrum, who is now a 15-year-old teenager. My goal is to improve the quality of life for individuals on the spectrum, teach them socially acceptable and functional behaviors, and train parents to provide the best possible support.
It is an honor and a pleasure to assist families in Spanish-speaking communities. Additionally, I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, and I love engaging in artistic and outdoor activities.
